Since 2012
The border should be our problem, not yours
Transcontinental Moving & Storage was built around cross-border relocation — not as a sideline to local moving. That focus is why customers hand us the part of the move they're most worried about and then hear the least about it.

Who we are
A specialist, not a generalist
Most moving companies do local work and take the occasional long job. We went the other way: since 2012 we've concentrated on long-distance and cross-border relocations between Canada and the United States, which means the customs paperwork, border coordination and long-haul protection that make those moves difficult are routine work here.
Our head office is in Montreal at 5010 Boulevard Thimens, with a second office in Mississauga serving the Greater Toronto Area. Those two locations cover the two busiest cross-border corridors in the country, and they're staffed by our own crews rather than subcontractors we've never met.
We're a proud member of IAM (International Association of Movers), and every move — a studio apartment crossing to Vermont or a full household heading to Texas — is run by one specialist who stays on your file from the first call to the last box.

How we work
The same four steps, every move
- 1
Tell us about your move
Two minutes online, or a call with a specialist. Where you're going, when, and roughly what's coming with you.
- 2
A specialist reviews your details
A real relocation specialist — not an auto-responder — checks your route, dates and access, and asks about anything that affects the plan.
- 3
We confirm the plan and the paperwork
You get your written estimate, your document checklist for the border, and a schedule you can build your week around.
- 4
We move you and stay in touch
Packing, loading, the border, delivery, unpacking and setup — with one point of contact from first call to last box.
