Cross-Border Moving Between Canada and the USA
Since 2012 we've done one thing better than anything else: move households across the Canada–US border. Packing, transport, customs documentation and delivery are handled by one team, on one file, with one team you can call.

Why cross-border is different
A cross-border move isn't a long move with extra steps
It's a customs process, a logistics plan and a household move happening at once. Movers who do it occasionally learn that the hard way — usually at the border.
- The paperwork is the job
- A cross-border move is a customs import with furniture attached. The inventory and the forms determine whether your shipment moves or waits.
- Two countries, one plan
- Departure access, the border crossing and destination delivery all get scheduled together, not improvised in sequence.
- Your status changes the rules
- Settler, returning resident, work permit or second-home owner — each has different documentation requirements. We match yours.
- Timing needs slack
- Border processing is real. We plan delivery windows that account for it instead of promising a date we can't control.

Tell us about your move
Two minutes online, or a call with a specialist. Where you're going, when, and roughly what's coming with you.
- 2
A specialist reviews your details
A real relocation specialist — not an auto-responder — checks your route, dates and access, and asks about anything that affects the plan.
- 3
We confirm the plan and the paperwork
You get your written estimate, your document checklist for the border, and a schedule you can build your week around.
- 4
We move you and stay in touch
Packing, loading, the border, delivery, unpacking and setup — with one point of contact from first call to last box.

Customer experiences
Cross-border moves in their words
“We moved from Los Angeles to Toronto, and Transcontinental made it a dream.”
“Everything arrived early and in perfect shape. Can't recommend them enough!”
“Super friendly crew, very knowledgeable about moving regulations in both countries.”
Common questions
Customs, cost and timing
Cross-border pricing depends on the weight or volume of your shipment, the distance between origin and destination, access at both addresses, and the services you add such as packing or storage. Because no two moves are the same, we don't publish a flat rate — we review your inventory and give you a written estimate for your specific move. Larger or more complex homes are usually quoted after a site visit so the numbers hold up on moving day.
